Bars, clubs and nightlife : Midtown West:
Zanzibar, 645 9th Ave (at 45th street) Cool lounge--some dancing. Good place to go if you’re up in Midtown

Meatpacking District:
Buddha Bar, 17 Little West 12th Street. Cool lounge with more dancing on the weekends
Level V, 675 Hudson Club, dancing, pretty cool place
Gansevoort Hotel (rooftop lounge), 18 9th Ave (at Little West 12th St). Good spot, big pick-up scene, good place to go if you want to meet people.
Ono Right next to the Gansevoort Hotel. Dancing and lounge.

Soho:
Bubble Lounge, 228 West Broadway (at Franklin Street). Swanky Soho lounge serving a bunch of different champagne. Lots of single people.
46 Grand, (Grand st and West Broadway). Lounge, DJ, probably spinning Hip Hop - Soho attitude

Lower East Side Crash Mansion, 199 Bowery (at Spring Street). Upscale live music venue. There is a club and dancing upstairs called BLVD
Stanton Social, (Stanton St at Ludlow St). Go upstairs, upscale lounge. Pretty people.
Pianos, 158 Ludlow St (at Stanton St). Grungy, live venue and lounge upstairs. Young, hip NY crowd The Back Room, Norfolk St (between Delancey and Rivington) Underground speakeasy. Drink out of coffee cups
