San Pancho Travel Guide

San Pancho Overview

San Pancho, Mexico (officially known as San Francisco) is located on the Pacific coast in a region known as Riviera Nayarit.   Situated about 5 Km north of Sayulita, San Pancho is a quite beach town know for it’s clear water and decent surfing weaves.

San Pancho is a quiet village with not much going on. There are a few nice restaurants in San Pancho which can be found on the main road leading from the highway to the beach, but other than eating, surfing and laying on the beach San Pancho offers little more (which of course is the charm of the village).

To get to San Pancho you can fly into Puerto Vallarta and take a bus up the coast. Once in San Pancho everything is easily navigated by foot and if you want to spend a day exploring the Riviera Nayarit we suggest you rent a car.

San Pancho has a beautiful beach. The water at San Pancho is aqua blue, but there are waves that make it difficult for swimming (especially for children).
