What's so special about Yogyakarta, Indonesia?

Here I want to tell you guys why I recommend Yogyakarta to visit when you're in Indonesia.

Located within the Yogyakarta province, this Special Region of Yogyakarta (casually called as Jogja or Yogya) well known as the center of classical Javanese fine art such as batik (a traditional clothing with unique pattern that already registered in UNESCO as Indonesia World Heritage), wayang (traditional puppet), traditional dances like Bedhoyo Dance, and too many nice tourism object that you have to visit. Its location that near Indian Ocean in the south makes Yogyakarta has many beaches. Some of my favorite beach are maybe not too famous within foreign tourist communities; like Baron Beach, Ngobaran Beach, Kukup Beach, and Krakal Beach. They are sooo beautiful with their white sands and very clear water. Because of not too many people that come to the beaches, so the beaches were still very virgin. I always imagine a beach in Phi Phi Island, Thailand, the beach at The Beach movie starred by Leonardo Dicaprio when I was in those beaches. Their beauty are not too different. Yeah I can say it because am a beach maniac. Those beaches I told are quite far from the city. We'll need 1 or 1,5 hours to reach them if we use car. But it takes longer time if we use motorcycle. I am sure it will be very worth it if you have arrived there because the view was soooo amazing! maybe you can take a look at these links to know how beautiful they are :

Ok, then after check them, what's your opinion? Nice, huh?
There's also famous beaches that people always remember, like Parangtritis Beach, Parang Kusumo Beach, and also Depok Beach (its location is near a fishermen village, so you can eat fresh sea foods there). You can googling to know more about them. Hmm, Yogyakarta also has many historical museums or cultural museums, like Train Museum, Museum of Batik, Museum of Affandi (a famous painter in Indonesia), and many more. You, who loved to visit museum and have a sightseeing inside the old building and full of historical and interesting things and have a time-warp imagination like me, really have to visit those museums!
Hey don't worry, all of those places could be accessed using Google Earth, okay?
So nothing you have to worried.
You can choose any transportation here, there's traditional vehicles like tricycle/becak (a modified bicycle with three wheels and the driver will bring you anywhere you want), andong (a little bit similar with tricycle but it uses horse as a media to pulled the vehicle and also there's a driver). or you can choose modern public transportation, like Trans Jogja (city bus), regular bus, motorcycle (so many rentals provide motorcycle to rent), and also car. Just say it and they make it! :)

Err.. ok I'm kind of tired now to write more. My eyes irritated because of I have been in front of the pc like 3 hours! lol.
I'll continue things that you have to know about Yogyakarta, the city that I'm currently stay in. Cheers and see you around guys!
